Godly Play - Mrs. Becky Capt
Godly Play is a method of a Christian education and spiritual direction for children ages 2-12.   The goal of Godly Play is to teach children the art of using religious language-parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives.

I love being around and teaching young people, that’s why I chose to major in the field of education.  It is my job as an educator to model a strong Christian teacher.  My goal is not only to teach the students, but to give them a loving environment in which they feel safe and therefore can learn and excel in the classroom and in life.

I have been married 29 years to Carper Capt who grew up in Uvalde and attended St. Philip’s as a child and we have been blessed with three children  I was the sixth grade teacher at St Philip’s and had the awesome privilege of teaching all three of them.  I taught Jared in 1994 who then went on to graduate from Texas A&M with his Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 2005 and his Master in Land Real Estate and Economics in 2007.  I taught Byron in 1996 and he graduated from Texas A&M in 2007 with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and then Lucy in 1999 who is presently a senior at Texas A&M  majoring in History and will continue her studies with a Masters in Education.
